Valentyn Oleksiyovych Shuvalov is the Head of the Department of Ionized Media Mechanics, D.Sc in “Liquid, Gas and Plasma Mechanics”, professor, the author of more than 260 scientific printed works published in “Acta Astronautica”, “Advances in Space Research”, “Cosmic Research”, “Geomagnetism and Aeronomy”, “High Temperature”, “High Energy Chemistry”, “Instruments and Experimental Techniques”, “Journal of Applied Mechanics and Technical Physics”, “Plasma Physics Reports”, “Technical Physics”, “Space science and technology”, etc., inventor’s certificates and patents, the monograph “Simulation of Body–Ionosphere Interaction” (Naukova Dumka Publishers, 1995), the manual “Plasmochemical Synthesis of Inorganic Substances” (Vyscha Shkola Publishers, 1992). He has a certificate as a reviewer of the magazine “Acta Astronautica”. Laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology, the M. K. Yangel Prize of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
