{"id":2693,"date":"2023-05-18T15:58:37","date_gmt":"2023-05-18T12:58:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/itm.dp.ua\/?page_id=2693"},"modified":"2023-05-18T16:14:12","modified_gmt":"2023-05-18T13:14:12","slug":"cavitation-pulse-technology-for-the-preparation-of-fine-particle-coal-water-fuel","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/itm.dp.ua\/?page_id=2693&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Cavitation pulse technology for the preparation of fine-particle coal-water fuel"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>Purpose<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Coal-water fuel is a new, far more environmen-tally appropriate kind of power-plant fuel, which can be used at thermal power plants now in operation in place of gas or black oil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>The essence of the technology<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Consists in the use of periodically detached cavitation in the flow of a coal-water slurry for dispersing and homogenizing the slurry to obtain fine-particle coal-water fuel, which can be burned as it is in boiler furnaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Advantages<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>direct burning in boilers without need for preliminary drying or dewatering;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>far lower power consumption per product unit (by a factor of 4 to 6);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>no moving parts or automatic control elements in the cavitation pulse disperser, simple plant design;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>high production capacity;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>wide range of control of the cumulative effect of cavitation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/itm.dp.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Technol0001_3.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Prototype cavitation pulse plant to try out the operating conditions for different coal ranks and slurry concentrates<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Operational testing<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The technology for the preparation of fine-particle coal-water slurries has been tried out at the Hydraulic Laboratory of the Institute of Technical Mechanics using various coal ranks and slurry concentrates.
