As part of the “Ukrainian Scientific Book in a Foreign Language” project, Akademperiodyka Publishing House has published the monograph “Satellite dynamic analysis and motion control for ion beam space debris deorbiting missions. Machine learning approach” by Serhii Khoroshylov and Mykhailo Redka.
The monograph addresses the use of machine learning methods to improve the contactless space debris removal technology known as the “ion beam shepherd.” Various aspects of the space debris problem are briefly analyzed, and a range of active debris removal methods are reviewed.
Results obtained with machine learning methods in space debris removal and in space navigation and control are analyzed. Computer simulation results that demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed models and algorithms are presented.
The book is intended for researchers and engineers in rocket and space technology, as well as for graduate and undergraduate students in related fields.
