The department of scientific and technical information and organization of scientific research is an independent structural unit of the ITM of NASU and SSAU and reports directly to the director of the institute.
The main directions of the department’s activities are the implementation of scientific, organizational and methodological work on the opening of new research and development works (R&DW), their implementation and acceptance of completed R&DW, protection of intellectual property rights, editorial and publishing activities, training of scientific personnel of higher qualifications, provision of translations from foreign languages.
According to the main activity, the work of the department is coordinated by the deputy director of the institute for scientific work, organized by the academic secretary of the institute.
The main tasks of the department are to carry out scientific and organizational work aimed at methodological, informational support and coordination of scientific and technical activities with the aim of obtaining high-level results of scientific and research works, their patentability and competitiveness in accordance with the main scientific directions of the institute.
The department also carries out organizational and methodical work on the formation, together with the planning and production department, of annual thematic plans for research works of the institute on state, program-target, departmental, research and contractual topics, control of their implementation and preparation of current and operational reporting to higher organizations on all conducted scientific studies.
The department is engaged in ensuring the participation of research projects of the institute in competitions for research projects under state, interstate, industry and other scientific and technical programs.
The department of scientific and technical information and organization of scientific research provides informational support for research works and disseminates information about the institute’s scientific achievements.
The department organizes the preparation of an annual report on the institute’s scientific, technical and organizational activities.
The department of scientific and technical information and organization of scientific research engages the institute’s scientists in inventive work and directs their creativity to the solution of scientific and technical problems facing the institute. It is also responsible for the organization of patent-licensing and inventive work at the institute.
This department takes part in the organization of editorial and publishing work at the institute, as well as the training of scientific personnel of the highest category through postgraduate and doctoral studies of the institute.
The department of scientific and technical information and organization of scientific research provides translations from foreign languages of scientific and technical information and translation into a foreign language of scientific documentation related to the scientific and research work of the institute.
