Liudmyla H. Lapina is the academic secretary of the institute, PhD, senior researcher of the department of statistical dynamics and multidimensional mechanical systems dynamics.
In 1982, she graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of the Dnipropetrovsk State University (now O. Honchar Dnipro National University) majoring in “Applied Mathematics” and began working at the Institute of Technical Mechanics of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR.
In-service, she completed a postgraduate course in the specialty “Dynamics and strength of machines, devices and equipment” and in 1997 defended her thesis for the PhD degree. After that, Liudmyla H. Lapina worked as a junior researcher, a senior researcher. In 2014, she was awarded the academic title of senior researcher. Since 2018, she has been a member of the Institute’s Academic Council.
Her scientific activity is related to the research of random oscillations of complex mechanical systems, in particular, rolling stock of railways.
She is the author of 50 scientific works.
She has held the position of academic secretary of the institute since December 2021.
